2. Relevant Biography:
a) Please describe your relevant professional experience and expertise and explain how this background will make you an effective AC member.
I am a cloud infrastructure and Internet governance professional with over 15 years of experience spanning operational engineering, public policy engagement, and Internet standards development. Currently, I serve as a Cloud Engineer with the Azure Monitoring Team at Microsoft, focusing on observability platforms such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Managed Prometheus, and Grafana.
Previously, I led the Network Operations division at BRACNet, one of the largest ISPs in Bangladesh, where I played a central role in IPv4 to IPv6 transition efforts, peering coordination, and cost-optimization strategies including implementation of Google Global Cache and local IXPs. I also bring experience in customer support leadership from my role at Plotly, where I built and scaled global technical support operations.
I have been an ARIN 52 Fellow and an ICANN 82 Fellow, and have actively participated in discussions at IETF and NANOG. Through these roles, I’ve developed a deep appreciation for the policy development process and the role of multi-stakeholder governance in shaping a stable and inclusive Internet.
My background allows me to effectively bridge the gap between technical implementation and policy implications, making me a strong candidate to serve on the Advisory Council. I am committed to supporting informed, community-driven decisions that align with ARIN’s mission to ensure fair and secure management of Internet number resources.
b) Attach a resume, curriculum vitae, or other biography highlighting your experience most relevant to the duties of the AC. 3. Eligibility:
a) Please disclose any conflicts of interest you may have, real or perceived, that would impact your ability to perform your duty as a member of ARIN’s Advisory Council. How do you propose to resolve any such conflicts?
I currently work as a Support Engineer at Microsoft, focusing on cloud observability and infrastructure monitoring. My role does not involve any direct authority over number resource policy or IP address allocations that would create a conflict of interest with the duties of the ARIN Advisory Council.
To proactively avoid any perceived conflict, I will recuse myself from any discussions or votes that may intersect with proprietary interests or projects directly related to my employer. I am fully committed to upholding ARIN’s principles of transparency, fairness, and neutrality, and I am prepared to consult ARIN’s conflict of interest policy regularly to ensure ongoing compliance.
b) Are you currently eligible to serve on the Advisory Council, according to the Conflicts of Interest Policy?
Yes
c) If not currently eligible, how will you become eligible to serve if elected (e.g.. “If elected, I will resign from the position of ______ before 31 Dec 2025”). If not applicable, simply enter “N/A”
N/A
d) Describe any limitations on your ability to: attend AC and Public Policy Meetings in person; or serve all of the elected term.
I have no limitations and am fully committed to attending all ARIN Advisory Council and Public Policy Meetings in person and serving the full elected term. I understand the responsibilities involved and am prepared to prioritize them accordingly.
4. Nominee Information
a) Have you attended ARIN meetings or otherwise participated in ARIN activities in the past? What did you find the most rewarding from those meetings or activities? What suggestions for improvement do you have?
Yes, I participated in ARIN 52 as a Fellow in San Diego, CA, where I actively engaged in policy discussions and community sessions. I found the experience highly rewarding, especially the openness of the community and the encouragement for newcomers to participate in meaningful discussions on Internet number resources and governance. One of the most impactful aspects was the opportunity to directly learn from experienced AC members and understand the policy development process in action.
For improvement, I would suggest expanding mentorship initiatives beyond the Fellowship to support ongoing community engagement and encourage more contributions from technical professionals across different sectors. More structured breakout discussions on emerging technologies like IPv6 adoption, cloud-scale networking, and routing security would further enhance engagement and relevance.
b) What areas of Internet number resource policy, if any, need more attention by ARIN, and why?
One area of Internet number resource policy that requires more focused attention is the equitable and transparent management of IPv4 transfers, particularly in the context of address scarcity and market dynamics. As the demand for IPv4 continues despite the availability of IPv6, policies must ensure that transfers are not only technically accurate but also reflect fair access across the ARIN region, especially for smaller operators and emerging networks.
Additionally, I believe ARIN can place more emphasis on policies supporting IPv6 adoption incentives, especially for cloud-native environments and enterprise migration frameworks. These efforts are vital to promote long-term Internet growth and resiliency.
Lastly, I’d like to see further exploration of policy guidance on the accountability of legacy resources and their inclusion in community-driven policy frameworks, ensuring alignment with current best practices and governance norms.
c) Aside from the professional experience and expertise detailed above, describe any other specific skills, background, and/or areas of expertise you believe will assist the Advisory Council in carrying out its duties.
In addition to my technical background, I bring strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills gained from collaborating with diverse teams across global enterprises. I have experience in public policy discussions and regularly engage with technical communities such as IETF, ICANN, and ARIN. My familiarity with the global Internet governance ecosystem allows me to bridge operational realities with policy implications.
Furthermore, I have a track record in mentorship, documentation, and training, which aligns with the AC’s responsibility to communicate effectively with the community. I’m also fluent in both technical and non-technical dialogue, which enables me to help draft and refine policies in ways that are accessible to a wide audience. My cross-disciplinary insight into cloud infrastructure, DNS operations, and observability strengthens my contribution to policy evaluation from a modern operational lens.
