b) Please refer to the ARIN Board of Trustees Guidance to the 2022 Nomination Committee in answering this question: Please describe your relevant professional experience and expertise and explain how this background will make you an effective trustee.
I have previously served on the ARIN Board (2018-2020). I chaired the Nomination Committee for two years working to improve the election process. I have also been on appointment, and compensation committees. I would like to bring my experience back to the Board in service of the community. Having also served on the ARIN Advisory Council for twelve years, including serving as the Chair of the AC for three of those years, I have worked across a wide range of issues from very local to global in scope.
My experience with ARIN also includes directly using their services for twenty years as a member representative. Working to conserve IPv4 resources, advancing IPv6 usage, and advocating for transparency. As an engineer for a large corporation and a previous small business owner, I worked to maintain a pragmatic, no-nonsense approach to problem solving.
This experience extends beyond the ARIN region and includes working with other RIR. My work has also included involvement beyond the RIR participating on the ITU’s IPv6 Working Group.
Attach a resume, curriculum vitae, or other biography highlighting your experience most relevant to the duties of the ARIN Board of Trustees. (PDF, DOC, DOCX files only) Remove any personal contact information (postal address, email, and/or phone number) from your resume/CV, as it will be posted publicly as part of the candidate information.

ARIN Board of Trustees 2018-2020
c) How does your past governance experience prepare you to help fulfill that role by serving as an ARIN Trustee?
My previous experience on the ARIN Board and the Advisory Council have provided exposure to all aspects of ARIN’s business eliminating any acclimation to the role.
6. Describe any past experience or involvement with ARIN or other Internet governance bodies.
Through the years I have been involved in activities with all five RIR, ICANN, the IETF, and ITU. It has provided me with a broad range of experience in Internet Governance working with many different organizations and their cultures.
7. Aside from any governance experience, describe your specific skills, background, and/or areas of expertise you believe will assist the Board in carrying out its duties.
I hold to a philosophy that approaching efforts with humility can solve bigger problems than efforts focused on self promotion. I also have experience working on complex projects that require multiple years to complete.
